Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller (ankle) practiced every day this week and will return to action in the team's Week 9 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Spiller is battling through the ankle injury that kept him out of last week's contest against the New Orleans Saints. He will split carries with Fred Jackson.
C.J. Spiller injury update: Listed as probable, should return for fantasy owners
The Bills running back practiced every day this week and is set to make his return to the line up in Week 9. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: The talented running back is expected to see some work, but owners have little reason to be jumping for joy; Spiller is still likely not 100 percent healthy. This has been a disappointing fantasy campaign for the fourth-year back. Spiller has one 100-yard game and as many touchdowns on the year. He is a solid bet to end up in the 10-15 carry range as the Bills could ease him back into the mix. Buffalo is also likely to be without fill-in quarterback Thaddeus Lewis which leaves the team to turn to undrafted rookie Jeff Tuel or two-time free agent bust Matt Flynn.
Although the Bills are likely to lean heavily on the run game, Spiller is not a recommended fantasy play against the Chiefs. Owners should have extremely low expectations if they are forced to turn to Spiller as a Flex play.
