Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler (ankle) has been ruled out for the team's Week 13 game against the Minnesota Vikings. Cutler is believed to be aiming for a Week 14 return and the team will once again go with reliable veteran quarterback up Josh McCown.
Jay Cutler injury update: QB still sidelined for fantasy owners
The Bears quarterback continues to recover from his injury and won’t play in Week 13. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Owners who have had to play Josh McCown in place of the injured Jay Cutler over the last few weeks haven’t missed much of a beat. While Cutler is unquestionably the superior quarterback, McCown has filled in admirably over the past five games. McCown finally threw his first interception last week along with 352 yards, two touchdowns and a fumble lost. He has completed a respectable 63.6% of his passes and provides the team with a legitimate chance to pull out a win.
Things don’t get much easier than they will for McCown as he plays against the Vikings in Week 13. Their defense has given up big plays and plenty of points in almost every game this year. With a plethora of receiving weapons around him, the pieces are in place for McCown to make a major contribution for fantasy owners. He’s a high-upside QB2 play this week.
