Fantasy Impact: Even though Amendola will suit up on Sunday, he has not earned a lot of trust from fantasy owners this season. The oft-injured receiver has already missed four games on the year. Just when it seemed like he was starting to find a groove, Amendola got shut down last week to the tune of three catches for 17 yards. With only one touchdown on the year, the transition from Wes Welker to Amendola has not been as seamless as the Patriots hoped.
Adding to Amendola’s unpredictability is his tough matchup against the Houston Texans. He will always have fantasy upside when he’s on the field and catching passes from Tom Brady, but owners should have him in starting lineups with the understanding that he presents moderate risk. Amendola is an average WR2 PPR play in Week 13.
