Miami Dolphins running back Daniel Thomas (ankle) did not practice and won't play in the team's Week 13 game against the New York Jets. Thomas is dealing with a severe ankle sprain and it is not yet known whether he'll be able to play again this season.
Daniel Thomas injury update: RB out, won’t play for fantasy owners
The Dolphins running back has a multi-week injury and won’t play in Week 13. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: With Thomas set to miss the next few weeks at the very least, the reins will be handed over to Lamar Miller. Before the injury, Miami’s carries were distributed pretty evenly between Miller and Thomas to the point that neither had the chance to become a fantasy asset. Miller is viewed by most as the superior back, but was never given a workhorse load of carries. With Thomas out of the picture for the time being, that could change.
As the new starter, owners should expect to see Miller in the 15-18 carry per game range. Thomas had four touchdowns on the year, so Miller will also get his goal-line duties, giving him more value. Unfortunately, Miller will be facing the Jets and their elite run defense on Sunday. Miller is a low-end RB2/flex option in Week 13.
