Rivers' lone touchdown went to second-year tight end Ladarius Green. Outside of that 30-yard play, Rivers was simply unable to connect with his receivers for big plays all afternoon. His interception was partially handled by Antonio Gates, who had the ball stripped from his hands before he could gain full possession of the football.
Fantasy impact: Rivers' fantasy numbers don't tell the whole story. He played a decent game, but fell victim to Cincinnati's defense creating turnovers around him. The Bengals were allowing the seventh-fewest points to fantasy quarterbacks heading into Week 13, so Rivers was facing an uphill battle from the start. Cincinnati was able to contain both Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady this season, so consider Rivers' week the exception rather than the norm. He'll be back as a QB1 against the New York Giants in Week 14.
