Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno may have fallen short on the ground, but he made up for it in the air on Sunday. Moreno finished with 15 carries for 18 yards along with four receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown. As daunting as the Kansas City Chiefs can be for opposing running backs, Moreno thrived as a receiver all afternoon. Whether it was out of the backfield or lined up outside as a receiver, Moreno was a versatile weapon for quarterback Peyton Manning all afternoon. His touchdown came from a short swing pass at the goal line.
Knowshon Moreno keeps fantasy owners afloat with big receiving numbers
Knowshon Moreno finished Week 13 with 90 all-purpose yards and a touchdown. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Fellow running back Montee Ball was given more designed running plays. Ball finished with 13 carries for 117 yards along with one catch for four yards. A good chunk of Ball's yardage total came from a 45-yard run in the third quarter.
Fantasy impact: If there was any doubt that Moreno would be an every-week RB1 option, Sunday’s performance should have solidified his status. Even against a tough Kansas City defense, the Broncos found ways to get Moreno touches, and it paid off. Moreno is producing at a high level despite sharing backfield duties with Ball. He’ll remain a strong RB1 option for the rest of the season, with Ball a low-end flex option for owners looking to fill in a hole on any given week.
