Alex Smith proved to be a liability during many fantasy championships in Week 16. Smith finished with 153 passing yards, two interceptions and one lost fumble. He also added 47 rushing yards to his dismal afternoon. He completed 16 of his 29 passes. Smith’s longest completion was a 19-yard pass to tight end Anthony Fasano. It was Smith’s worst game of the season, and it couldn’t have come at a worse time for fantasy football owners.
Alex Smith is a fantasy dud in Week 16
Alex Smith finished Week 16 with 153 passing yards and two interceptions. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: If it weren't for his rushing yards, Smith would have been flirting with zero fantasy production in most formats. While Smith was far from a must-start option, he was favored over several low-end QB1s facing difficult matchups. If fantasy owners who play through Week 17 were fortunate enough to survive Week 16, Smith makes for an extremely shaky start against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.
