Jamaal Charles rewards fantasy owners with 144 yards and a touchdown

It wasn't quite the five-touchdown performance we saw in Week 15, but Jamaal Charles managed to put together another great performance on Sunday. Charles carried the ball 13 times for 106 yards and a touchdown. He caught five passes for 38 additional yards. Charles got the Chiefs off to a hot start with a 31-yard touchdown, but that was the final score the Chiefs saw for the rest of the afternoon. The Indianapolis Colts went on to throttle the Chiefs with a final score of 23-7. Even with the poor outing by quarterback Alex Smith, Charles still put up strong numbers, averaging an outstanding 8.2 yards per carry on the day.

Fantasy impact: Charles catapulted many fantasy owners into their fantasy championship with his incredible Week 15 performance. He continued to produce in what is likely the final game for many fantasy leagues around the country. He's likely to end up as the top running back of 2013 in most formats. If Charles plays in Week 17, he'll face a beatable San Diego Chargers defense to cap off his phenomenal season.
