New England Patriots wide receiver Aaron Dobson (foot) has already been ruled out of the team's Week 14 game against the Cleveland Browns. Dobson didn't practice this week and never had a realistic shot at suiting up.
Aaron Dobson injury update: WR ruled out, won’t be available for fantasy owners
The Patriots rookie wide receiver has been ruled out for Week 14. We break down the fantasy impact.

Fantasy Impact: With Dobson out for Week 14, fellow rookie wide receiver Kenbrell Thompkins would be the next in line to start at the "X" receiver position. However, Thompkins is also dealing with a hip injury that kept him limited in practice every day this week. He is likely heading towards a game-time decision. However, with his inconsistent production this year, he is not someone that owners should trust as a start in what is the first week of the fantasy playoffs for most leagues.
Fellow receiver Julian Edelman would be the biggest beneficiary if both rookies miss the game Sunday. He actually played ahead of Danny Amendola on the depth chart last week and finished with nine catches for 101 yards. If Edelman is somehow still available in your league, he should be picked up immediately. Edelman is red-hot after posting his second consecutive nine-catch, 100-yard receiving game. He is a high-upside WR3 play this week.
