Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson couldn't get much going on Sunday, as quarterback Matthew Stafford was inefficient in the snow. Johnson finished the day with three catches for 49 yards and couldn't find the end zone. He saw only five targets and couldn't overcome the struggles of Stafford.
Calvin Johnson provides fantasy owners with a rare disappointment
The Lions wide receiver wasn’t his usual self in the poor weather conditions. We break down the fantasy implications.

While his performance didn’t make much of a difference for fantasy owners, his outlook hasn’t changed in the slightest. It was an off game, but he still averaged over 16 yards per catch. Johnson is now at 72 receptions for 1,299 yards and 12 touchdowns on the season and is averaging career-high 18 yards per catch. While the timing of his rare subpar performance could have been better, even fantasy football’s best receiver is allowed one of these games every once in a while.
Fantasy Impact: Johnson will have a solid matchup next week in the middle-of-the-pack Baltimore pass defense. Owners have every reason to have faith that Johnson will bounce back and make a difference in the semi-finals for most leagues. He remains the No. 1 fantasy wide receiver and owners must start him as usual.
