As Hobson notes, Hawkins would be eligible to return in the second half of the season if the Bengals decide to put him on the list. That decision won't be made until final cuts on Aug. 31.
Fantasy impact: Hawkins wasn’t on the radar for many owners, but he had the potential to become a decent option in PPR leagues. If the Bengals put him on the injured-reserve recall list, he won’t be playing until at least Week 9.
