Reports on Mike Wallace from Dolphins training camp haven’t been positive this season, but he silenced some of the negativity on Saturday night against the Texans. Wallace caught three passes for 58 yards and a touchdown, looking like he was more in sync with quarterback Ryan Tannehill.
Mike Wallace helps fantasy stock with good showing in Houston
Ryan Tannehill and Mike Wallace haven’t been on the same page in training camp, but the duo looked like it was improving against Houston. We break down the fantasy implications.

Writers have noted that Tannehill and Wallace don’t connect often in practice, and their chemistry appears to be lacking in the early stages of 2013. They looked better in Houston, though, after Wallace didn’t see a single target in 17 snaps against Jacksonville last week.
Fantasy impact: Wallace’s ADP is hovering around No. 67 overall right now, putting him ahead of receivers like Steve Smith, T.Y. Hilton and Anquan Boldin. Some owners are reaching for Wallace based on the success he had in Pittsburgh. Don’t get carried away after one solid performance.
While Wallace is a burner, he isn’t the best route runner. We’ll see how that translates to Miami’s West Coast offense. Next week’s game against the Buccaneers will give owners a better look at his role in the passing game.
