Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley made it official on Monday, naming Blaine Gabbert the team's starting quarterback for Week 1 of the regular season.
Jaguars name Blaine Gabbert starting quarterback; fantasy value still low after injury
Jacksonville now has a starting quarterback, but does it matter for your fantasy football team?

Bradley also had some bad news, though, saying that Gabbert would miss the remainder of the preseason with the thumb injury he suffered during Saturday night’s game.
Gabbert was as impressive as he's ever been in his NFL career on Saturday against the Jets, completing 13 of his 16 passes for 165 yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy spin: Have things finally clicked for Gabbert? That seems unlikely, but it's a positive sign that he was named the starting quarterback. Of course, the injury isn't the best news for Gabbert, who could use all the reps he can get with the first-team offense before the team's season opener against the Chiefs.
Bradley also said on Monday that the team expects to get Cecil Shorts III back this week. The healthier the offense gets, the more viable Shorts and Maurice Jones-Drew become for fantasy purposes. For now, Gabbert is still a low-level fantasy quarterback until he proves otherwise. But he showed on Saturday that he can at least make his teammates valuable fantasy options.
