After three preseason games, Jermichael Finley has seven receptions for 113 yards. He’s been more involved with Aaron Rodgers in the Packers offense, and one NFL scout believes the starting tight end looks better than last year.
Jermichael Finley fantasy stock on the rise with scout’s note
One scout believes Jermichael Finley looks better than his 2012 version. We break down the fantasy implications.

Finley “seems like a go-to guy,” according to the scout. This is a contract year for Finley, so he might be attempting to position himself for a nice payday at the end of the season.
Fantasy impact: How many of you have been fooled into believing Finley was in for a breakout year? Judging by the numbers of hands presumably being raised, Finley is becoming a good value pick with his improved play.
Tight end is not a deep position in 2013. Finley’s current ADP has him going off the board in Round 7. That’s certainly worth the risk of him reverting to his old form. Expect Finley to be a bigger part of the Packers offense, especially if Randall Cobb’s injury becomes a more serious issue.
