Christine Michael was the superior runner in the Seahawks backfield Friday night, as he rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. Robert Turbin also played well, finishing with 50 yards on 11 carries.
Christine Michael could be passing Robert Turbin for fantasy value
The Seahawks gave their reserve running backs significant action on Friday night against the Packers. One appeared to make a better impression. We break down the fantasy implications.

Marshawn Lynch made a brief appearance in the first quarter, but it was Turbin and Michael taking the snaps the rest of the way. While neither back is a threat to Lynch’s workload, Michael is boosting his stock. He appears to be the best candidate for the backup duties if Lynch suffers an injury.
Fantasy impact: Turbin is averaging 4.47 yards per carry in the preseason. He’ll see some reps behind Lynch in the regular season, but Michael looks like the better runner overall. Both backs need to improve in pass protection, though.
If you’re looking for a handcuff for Lynch, Michael is a safer bet at this point. Averaging 6.89 yards per carry, he would likely step in for Beast Mode.
