Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder looked as comfortable as he has all preseason in his team's third preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Christian Ponder throws two touchdowns against 49ers, still has low fantasy value
The Vikings quarterback shouldn’t be on the fantasy radar just yet, even after a solid outing on Sunday.

Ponder threw for 116 yards and two touchdowns but turned the ball over twice as well. He also completed 17 of his 23 passes on the afternoon, though the Vikings lost to the 49ers 34-14.
Fantasy spin: Don’t go getting excited about Ponder just yet. He was still mostly dinking and dunking his way down field and his yards per attempt was under 5.0. The effort was encouraging, though, and Ponder enters a make or break season for the Vikings.
If nothing else, Sunday's two-touchdown performance should give fantasy owners some confidence in the rest of Minnesota's offensive weapons. Cordarrelle Patterson has been heavily involved all preseason and should contribute as a rookie, while Greg Jennings may also make an impact.
And don’t forget about Adrian Peterson. If the Vikings have any semblance of a passing game, that should open up more holes for Peterson in the running game.
