Shorts caught eight passes for 93 yards, most of which came in garbage time. For the most part, Jacksonville’s offense struggled all afternoon before mounting a small comeback in the final moments of the fourth quarter.
Fantasy spin: Despite playing in one of the league's worst offenses, Shorts remains a viable fantasy option. Whether Blaine Gabbert or Chad Henne is playing quarterback, Shorts is the team's go-to option at wide receiver. His upside is certainly limited in the Jaguars' offense, but they will be playing from behind often, which bodes well for Shorts' ability to rack up yards and catches.
In a few weeks, Justin Blackmon returns from suspension, which should help the entire offense. Teams won't be able to pay so much attention to Shorts with another viable option opposite him.
