Jason Witten surprisingly led the Cowboys in the receiving game during Sunday's 31-7 victory over the Rams. Witten leading the Dallas offense in catches and receiving yards isn't something that should come as a surprise. What is a surprise is the fact that Witten led the team with only five receptions and 67 yards. Dallas took the lead quickly and relied heavily on their run game for the majority of the afternoon. As a result, the passing game took a backseat and many of Dallas' starters were rested in the fourth quarter.
Jason Witten has solid fantasy performance in dominant Dallas victory
Jason Witten finished Sunday with five receptions for 67 yards. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Witten owners were likely disappointed by his failure to put some points on the scoreboard. However, it's worth noting that Witten led the team in targets along with Dez Bryant, who continues to draw attention from opposing defenses. Witten remains a top fantasy tight end and should continue to see looks while the dynamic Bryant distracts his opponents. Witten hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 1 and should see a healthy dose of red zone targets against he Chargers in Week 4.
