The Ravens offense struggled to score points in the second half, which led to Joe Flacco attempting 62 passes while trying to mount a comeback against the Broncos. His No. 1 receiver Torrey Smith saw eight targets and caught four passes for 92 yards in the regular season opener.
Torrey Smith has decent Week 1 fantasy showing
Torrey Smith didn’t find the end zone, but he added a few big plays to help his yardage total against Denver. We break down the fantasy implications.

Smith broke free for a few impressive gains, but he couldn’t quite break one open for a touchdown, even without Champ Bailey facing off against him.
Fantasy impact: Smith is normally boom-or-bust, so it’s somewhat comforting to see him gain decent yardage without a huge score. His 92-yard total is acceptable to start out. Owners will want to see him top the century mark or find the end zone to feel more comfortable about him in future weeks.
Flacco should not be passing the ball 62 times. He doesn’t have great receiving options, and there is no other player to really take pressure off Smith this year. He’s going to be the focus of opposing defenses.
