Patriots wideout Aaron Dobson did not make the trip with the team to Buffalo due to a hamstring injury. Even if he was healthy, though, Dobson might not have made the game-day roster, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston.
Aaron Dobson is off the fantasy radar
The Patriots have a lot of weapons on offense, but Aaron Dobson is not in the mix to see playing time in that group. We break down the fantasy implications.

Dobson is behind Danny Amendola, Julian Edelman and Kenbrell Thompkins on the depth chart. Josh Boyce has played well on special teams, so Reiss believes Dobson is currently the No. 5 receiver for New England.
Fantasy impact: After some hype began to build around Dobson early in the year, he’s far from a valuable player for your roster at this point. Thompkins outplayed him and moved up in the pecking order. Now Dobson is struggling to even suit up for game days.
Thompkins is a smart play for Week 1. He’s filling the role Brandon Lloyd used to serve with the Patriots. He and Amendola should see plenty of targets against the Bills.
