Giovani Bernard saw the majority of the workload in the Cincinnati Bengals' backfield on Sunday. Bernard had 14 carries for just 48 yards, but he bailed out fantasy owners with six receptions for 62 yards. Jeremy Hill was expected to see his fair share of work, but had just four carries for 19 yards. Hill still stands to see more work in the future -- Bernard clearly excels more in open space while Hill offers more between the tackles.
Giovani Bernard gets the workload for fantasy owners, Jeremy Hill takes a backseat
Giovani Bernard put up pedestrian numbers on the ground, but managed to help fantasy owners with all-purpose yards in Week 1.

Fantasy impact: Bernard's usage was promising for fantasy owners who likely bought into him in the early rounds of their fantasy draft. The good news is that Bernard appears to be every bit the playmaker we saw during his rookie season. The bad news for Bernard owners is that Hill will likely settle into the power running game more than what we saw against the Baltimore Ravens moving forward. Regardless, the Bengals should be wise enough to put Bernard in a position to make plays as much as possible. He's still a strong RB2 with even more upside in PPR leagues.
