Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 4: Justin Forsett

The Ravens haven’t gotten much going this season and find themselves 0-3. Could Justin Forsett end that trend? We break down the fantasy implications.

Baltimore Ravens running back Justin Forsett hasn't been what fantasy owners envisioned him to be with Marc Trestman calling plays.

Behind a fantastic offensive line in 2014, Forsett steamrolled his way to 1,529 yards from scrimmage and was the diamond in the rough that fantasy owners displayed en route to success. But in 2015, the story's being written differently thus far. The Ravens have found themselves abandoning the run due to unfavorable game scripts, and when they've committed, Forsett hasn't capitalized. The Week 3 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals was the most recent example of the running game's failures, as Forsett totaled just 13 yards on 10 carries.

Fantasy impact: Many thought Forsett could see similar production to Matt Forte during Trestman's stint in Chicago, but it's apparent that Forsett is no Forte. Trestman has a penchant for using his running backs in the receiving game, and while Forsett has caught a respectable 12 passes in three games he isn't doing enough with his targets to win over fantasy owners. Kyle Juszczyk and Buck Allen also remain involved in catching passes out of the backfield.

For Week 4, Forsett will have his work cut out for him against a Steelers defense that has been stout against the run, but have also not been challenged by teams with strong running attacks. Carlos Hyde exited his contest with the Steelers early when they squared off in Week 2, and faced a negative game script. The Ravens may be able to feed Forsett more, provided they don't fall behind early to a Michael Vick-led Steelers offense, but he remains a middling RB2 until he breaks out.
