Washington wide receiver DeSean Jackson missed Thursday's practice, according to ESPN's John Keim.
DeSean Jackson misses Thursday practice, fantasy status unclear for Week 4
Washington would love to get its speedy wideout back in action for Week 4, but those chances are growing slimmer with each practice he misses. We break down the fantasy implications.
Jackson also missed Wednesday’s practice due to a hamstring injury that he suffered in Week 1 on his lone target of the season. Keim added that the wet conditions could have contributed to Jackson’s absence, as the team would not want to force a player with a leg injury to test it out on a slippery field.
Fantasy impact: Many had speculated that Week 4 would be the return date for Jackson, but after two straight missed practices there's plenty of doubt now cast upon that. If Washington would hold Jackson out of a rainy practice, it's fair to wonder if they would do the same during a rainy game on Sunday, even if it's against a division rival in the Philadelphia Eagles.
Fantasy owners will have to monitor practice reports once again to determine Jackson’s status. If he is able to play at full capacity on Sunday, he will be in the WR2 conversation. However, there’s not much reason for fantasy owners to believe that’s in the realm of possibility after two straight missed practices.
