Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones was not present for the beginning of Thursday's practice, according to ESPN's Vaughn McClure.
Julio Jones not present at Thursday’s practice, fantasy status unclear for Sunday
Julio Jones has missed two consecutive practices due to hamstring and toe injuries. We break down the fantasy implications.
Jones also missed Wednesday's practice and is listed as having both toe and hamstring injuries. It is not yet known what Jones' status will be come Sunday, but it's fair to have concern about his availability following two missed days of practice after a new injury was announced. If Jones cannot start, expect Leonard Hankerson and Roddy White to be split out wide in his stead.
Fantasy impact: It’s officially time for Jones’ owners to have a contingency plan lined up in case he doesn’t play. Hamstring injuries have been known to linger, and the toe injury is especially concerning since Jones missed the majority of the 2013 season due to a foot ailment.
Hankerson should be added to rosters of Jones’ owners to be on the safe side, but in the meantime injury reports need to be closely monitored. If Jones plays at full capacity, he is arguably the top wide receiver across the fantasy football spectrum for Week 4.
