The status of Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins is "trending up" according to WKBW's Joe Buscaglia.
Sammy Watkins ‘trending up,’ could play Week 6 for Bills, fantasy owners
The Bills could be getting a much-needed weapon back into their arsenal for Week 6. We break down the fantasy implications.

Watkins exited in the middle of the Bills' Week 3 loss to the New England Patriots and has only returned to the practice field at a limited capacity. With an optimistic report so early in the week, it appears as though Watkins has a real shot of returning to the playing field when the Bills face the 5-0 Cincinnati Bengals. Though the Bills eked out a 14-13 win over the Titans in Week 5, Watkins was sorely missed after the team only logged 113 yards in the air against an exploitable secondary.
Fantasy impact: Fantasy owners will have to remain glued to the injury reports this week, but they should have some optimism in wake of Buscaglia's report. With Percy Harvin and Charles Clay also at less than 100 percent, Watkins could be a target monster if he takes the field.
Since Watkins was able to practice in preparation for Week 5, he should be able to be involved in the game plan prior to Sunday, as long as he does not suffer any setbacks to his calf injury. If that’s the case, Watkins can be considered a WR3 with upside.
