Washington wide receiver DeSean Jackson practiced in pads Wednesday, according to a report by Comcast SportsNet's Chick Hernandez.
DeSean Jackson practices in pads Wednesday, fantasy status for Sunday unclear
Washington needs a boon to its stable of receivers, and could be getting one on Sunday in the form of DeSean Jackson. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jackson was seen running routes to the side while head coach Jay Gruden worked with him as a defender. It's unknown if Jackson practiced with the team at this point, but suiting up in pads is progress from the individual drills he participated in prior to the team's Week 5 loss against the Atlanta Falcons. Washington is hurting for pass catchers with Jordan Reed sidelined with a concussion, and with Ryan Grant slipping and falling on a route that contributed to a game-ending pick-six on Sunday.
Fantasy impact: Fantasy owners will have to continue to monitor practice reports throughout the week, but Jackson is off to a good start. If he plays, it's not yet known to what capacity, and he also would likely draw the coverage of shutdown cornerback Darrelle Revis.
Jackson’s owners have been waiting five weeks for a return to the playing field, but even if he was able to, the bench would be his likely designation in fantasy leagues of standard formats and sizes.
