Jordan Reed misses practice on Thursday, unlikely to suit up for fantasy owners
Washington tight end Jordan Reed is still dealing with the effects of a concussion. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: With 24 catches for 278 yards and a touchdown in four games this season, Reed is probably the most reliable target in Washington’s offense aside from teammate DeSean Jackson. Given that Jackson hasn’t played since suffering a hamstring injury in the opening week of the season, Reed has been the No. 1 guy all year up until now.
Concussions are always a tricky thing and nobody really knows when Reed will be able to return to the lineup, apart from the fact that he first has to get through the league’s protocol in order to have any chance of playing. Teammate Derek Carrier will fill in during Jordan’s absence.
Carrier caught two passes for 27 yards and a touchdown against the Atlanta Falcons last week but he won’t draw enough targets to be a legitimate threat in fantasy leagues. Owners should look elsewhere for a tight end until Reed returns.
