Baltimore Ravens running back Justin Forsett is practicing on Friday, according to The Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec.
Justin Forsett returns to practice, fantasy outlook brightening
The Ravens need as much help as they can get at 1-4, and Justin Forsett returning to the huddle after exiting Week 5 would be welcome news. We break down the fantasy implications.
Forsett exited Week 5's loss to the Cleveland Browns with an ankle injury and did not return. Subsequently, the Ravens held their lead back out of Wednesday and Thursday's sessions, but returning Friday bodes well for his Sunday availability.
If Forsett sits, Buck Allen would get the start in his place, however the likelihood of that happening isn’t as great as it was earlier in the week.
Fantasy impact: Forsett was sluggish to begin the season, but his production over the past two weeks returned to his peak form of 2014.
Over the past two games, Forsett has 320 total yards and a touchdown and has reestablished himself as an RB1 in leagues of all formats. At less than 100 percent, he still deserves RB1 consideration vs. the San Francisco 49ers.
Because of his return to the practice field, fantasy owners should approach setting their lineups as if Forsett will play. Allen remains a handcuff, and should only be started if fantasy owners are truly desperate for options.
