Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch will "play a lot" on Sunday, according to The Seattle Times' Bob Condotta.
Marshawn Lynch will ‘play a lot’ Sunday, per report, is a no-brainer fantasy start
The Seahawks will get “Beast Mode” back into the lineup on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Condotta's report stems from information provided by head coach Pete Carroll, who oversaw Lynch's return to practice this week. His feature back was upgraded to "full" in Thursday's practice. Lynch will resume his lead back duties, while Thomas Rawls will be sprinkled in as a change-of-pace option after filling in for Lynch in Weeks 4 and 5.
Fantasy impact: Fantasy owners can feel safe plugging Lynch back into their lineups, which is something that hasn’t been said since Week 2 of the season. The risk of re-injury always presents itself with hamstring ailments, but Lynch returning to practice at full capacity is a sign that the worst is behind him.
Even against a challenging Carolina Panthers defense, fantasy owners would be myopic to bench one of the best running backs in the league, who also has the benefit of playing at home. The Seahawks currently have the NFL's top-ranked rushing offense, and have only had Lynch in the lineup for two full games. Fantasy owners won't have to think hard to plug him back into lineups in leagues of all formats.
