Eric Decker declared active for Jets, fantasy owners
The Jets will want to avoid being shorthanded on offense vs. a division rival on Sunday, and that depends on Eric Decker’s health. He has been declared active for Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game vs. the Miami Dolphins, according to Brian Costello of the New York Post.
Decker sprained his PCL in Week 2's victory over the Indianapolis Colts and was subsequently held out of Week 3. However, Decker made strides this week, practicing at a limited basis on Thursday and Friday and traveling with the team to London, where the Jets will be playing. If he can't go, Quincy Enunwa would see a bigger workload.
Fantasy impact: Decker was sorely missed in Week 3 after lighting up the Colts for 97 yards and a touchdown before exiting the week prior. With a divisional rival up next on the schedule, it’s a fair assumption that the Jets will do everything in their power to get their No. 2 receiver into action to get the team back on track.
The good news for Decker's owners is that they will know by 8 a.m. ET on Sunday if he can play, since kickoff is at 9:30 a.m. ET. Should Decker play at his usual capacity, he will be in the WR3 conversation vs. a languishing Dolphins defense. If he doesn't go, Brandon Marshall will monopolize the targets in the passing game once again.
