New York Jets running back Chris Ivory will be "good to go" for Sunday's game vs. the Miami Dolphins, per ESPN's Rich Cimini.
Chris Ivory ‘good to go’ Sunday for Jets, fantasy owners
Though Chris Ivory didn’t play in Week 3’s loss despite an active status, reports are that he is “good to go” for Sunday’s matchup across the pond. We break down the fantasy implications.
Ivory has been dealing with a quad injury, but practiced fully for the Jets on Thursday and Friday. The feature back was also active in Week 3's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, but didn't take the field despite his active roster status. That should give pause to those who would take Ivory's status for granted, but full practices bode well for his usage especially with a divisional game ahead.
Fantasy impact: The Dolphins have been carved up on the ground by their opponents this season, having the second-worst total rushing defense in the NFL. If Ivory is a go at his full capacity, and indications are that he will be, then fantasy owners should expect a nice bounce-back game from the Jets’ workhorse.
For fantasy owners in need of a strong performance from their running backs in Week 4, Ivory has a decent floor. He can be placed squarely in the center of the RB2 conversation, and has upside vs. what has been a surprisingly porous Dolphins defense thus far.
