LeSean McCoy will not play until his hamstring is “100 percent,” according to Syracuse.com’s Matthew Fairburn.
LeSean McCoy won’t play for Bills until he’s ‘100 percent,’ per report, remains stuck on fantasy benches
The Bills are going to play it safe with their feature back as he deals with a hamstring injury. We break down the fantasy implications.
Fairburn’s report also states that McCoy aggravated his hamstring injury on Sept. 24 in preparation for the team’s Week 3 game against the Miami Dolphins. It was a sluggish outing for McCoy, who was eventually benched for Karlos Williams when the game was out of hand. McCoy has already been ruled out for Sunday’s game vs. the New York Giants, but now it appears he is in danger of missing more than just that.
Fantasy impact: Williams may prove to be more than a one-week rental with McCoy being held out of action until he is fully recovered. McCoy’s injury is just the latest example in a long list of hamstring injuries keeping players out of action for multiple weeks. McCoy has dealt with the injury since the summer, and it appears that the Bills and McCoy are done with the experiment of having him play through it.
Since McCoy’s out, Williams can be considered a borderline RB1 for Sunday, and will have another juicy matchup in Week 5 vs. the Tennessee Titans.
