Washington tight end Jordan Reed returned to practice on Wednesday, according to The Washington Post's Mike Jones.
Jordan Reed practices Wednesday, fantasy outlook brightening
Washington could get a boost to its passing game on Sunday if Jordan Reed returns. We break down the fantasy implications.

Reed had been sidelined for two weeks with a concussion, but returned to practice in pads. His addition would be a welcome one with Kirk Cousins struggling and DeSean Jackson remaining sidelined. If Reed returns to action on Sunday, expect a heavy volume of targets for him, Jamison Crowder and Pierre Garcon, while backup tight end Derek Carrier resumes a more complimentary role.
Fantasy impact: Reed will be firmly on the list of TE1 options for Sunday if he is able to return to the field, as he currently averages the ninth-most fantasy points per game among tight ends. Though the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been stingy vs. opposing tight ends this season, the volume that is set to come Reeds way could mitigate that.
Though Reed's status isn't a sure thing for Sunday, his return to the practice field so early in the week bodes well for him. In a week where Tyler Eifert, Martellus Bennett and Richard Rodgers all have byes, Reed would be considered a high-floor TE1.
