San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Torrey Smith hasn't capitalized on many splash plays since coming to the Bay Area, which is why his fantasy owners were eager to see him catch a 76-yard touchdown pass in Week 6 vs. his former team, the Baltimore Ravens.
Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 7: Torrey Smith
After a fabulous Week 6, Smith might have rougher waters ahead on Thursday night. We break down the fantasy implications.

However, Week 7 will present different circumstances for Smith and his fantasy owners, as the 49ers will go from facing one of the league's worst secondaries to one of the very best in the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks defense is allowing 13.5 fantasy points per game to opposing receivers, a mark bested only by the Denver Broncos. Though the Seahawks are a team that has struggled this season, their defense remains a capable one that can be formidable at times.
Fantasy impact: The matchup at hand isn’t good news for Torrey Smith, who will have a tough time taking the top off of a secondary that houses one of the NFL’s best safeties in Earl Thomas. Already amid a maddeningly inconsistent offense, Smith already has factors working against him before the Seahawks defense is taken into account.
In better matchups, Smith would make a fine gamble as a WR3 given his big-play ability. But for Week 7, there’s more “bust” than “boom” to be had.
