Washington tight end Jordan Reed has a "pretty good chance" to play on Sunday vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to the Washington Post's Liz Clarke.
Jordan Reed has ‘good chance’ to play Sunday for Washington, fantasy owners
Washington badly needs a boost to its offense and could be getting one with the impending return of Jordan Reed. We break down the fantasy implications.

Clarke's report stems from the words of coach Jay Gruden, who expects to get his starting tight end back onto the field after missing the past two games with a concussion. Reed's relatively quick return would be surprising news, considering he missed six games in 2013 with a concussion as well. If Reed starts at his usual capacity, he will be a primary weapon for Kirk Cousins, along with Jamison Crowder and Pierre Garcon.
Fantasy impact: Reed is averaging the ninth-most fantasy points per game among tight ends, and is needed badly in an offense that has found itself in a recent rut. With DeSean Jackson still sidelined with a hamstring injury, Reed ought to soak up targets from Cousins once again despite the Buccaneers defense being stingy to opposing tight ends this season.
Reed can be considered a TE1 with a decent floor, something that not many tight ends can boast in Week 7. Provided Reed doesn’t experience any setbacks before Sunday, fantasy owners can plug him into their lineups with confidence.
