Boldin has been dealing with a hamstring injury on a short week, making his status murky for Week 7. Rapoport added that Boldin will test his injury during pregame warmups to determine if he will be able to make the start in a pivotal divisional game.
Boldin practiced at a limited capacity on Tuesday and Wednesday, but if he cannot go, Torrey Smith and a likely combination of Bruce Ellington and Quinton Patton will pick up the slack in the receiving game.
Fantasy impact: Fantasy owners who need Boldin to step up this week may have to look elsewhere for options. If he plays, he would likely draw the coverage of Richard Sherman, who is always a factor in fantasy matchups.
With a tough matchup at hand, and at being less than 100 percent, fantasy owners wouldn’t be faulted for exploring other options at receiver on Thursday.
