Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant will travel with the team to face the New York Giants but is not expected to play, according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora.
Dez Bryant not expected to play Sunday, per report, can remain on fantasy benches
Dez Bryant will likely have to wait another week before returning to the huddle. We break down the fantasy implications.
The Cowboys expressed optimism that Bryant would return after their Week 6 bye, but it appears that they will have to wait at least one more week before getting their star receiver back in action. Bryant did practice on a limited basis during the week preceding Sunday's game, but is running and cutting at full speed. As a result, Week 8 against the Seattle Seahawks remains a feasible return date.
Fantasy impact: Bryant can't quite yet be written off for Week 7, but there isn't enough reason to have him penciled into lineups. His status bears monitoring up until his team's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff, but there shouldn't be much optimism surrounding him. Looking ahead, it's hard to imagine a worse matchup for Bryant's return than Richard Sherman and the Seahawks, but Bryant's other-worldly talent is capable of succeeding in any environment.
If fantasy owners have waited six weeks for Bryant’s return, they can wait one more Sunday.
