Riley Cooper injury update: Eagles WR ‘questionable’ for fantasy owners on Sunday
The Eagles have been nicked at bruised at the wide receiver position, and Riley Cooper is another name to monitor. We break down the fantasy implications.
Cooper has seen more snaps with injuries to Nelson Agholor and Josh Huff, but now the Eagles may lose even more depth at receiver. Though Cooper sat Wednesday and Thursday's practices, he is expected to play after toughing it out in Week 6. However, the capacity to which he can is not known.
Fantasy impact: With Cooper logging over 70 yards and a touchdown in two of his last three games, he has popped up as a waiver option in standard leagues. Injuries have undoubtedly paved the way for Cooper’s chances, but Cooper has produced in ways the receivers ahead of him on the depth chart have not.
Despite his recent resurgence, Cooper's usage still isn't enough to warrant anything more than a desperation flex option for Week 7 against the Panthers' challenging secondary. Fantasy owners considering starting Cooper must do so with caution.
