Getlin added that Randle's injury is similar in nature to what he dealt with in the preseason, and is expected to miss time. The extent of that is not yet known, but after Darren McFadden admirably filled in with lead duties in Randle's absence, the Cowboys may not be in any position to rush him back into action.
Fantasy impact: McFadden put up a 162-yard stat line on Sunday that reminded fans of his prime with the Oakland Raiders, although Randle ran the ball effectively before his exit, as well. While Randle is out, McFadden is the unquestioned starter with Christine Michael expected to spell him, but it speaks volumes that Michael was seen so little after getting extended looks with the first team offense during the Cowboys' bye.
McFadden has a difficult matchup with the Seattle Seahawks at hand on Sunday, but will be firmly in the RB1/RB2 conversation due to volume alone. Michael owners would be advised to keep him stashed, as health has always been a concern for McFadden's long-term prospects.
