Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson did not practice Wednesdday, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free-Press.
Calvin Johnson sits Wednesday’s practice, but fantasy status not a concern for Week 8
Calvin Johnson missed practice on Wednesday, but doesn’t appear to be in danger of missing game time. We break down the fantasy implications.

Birkett's report added that Johnson is in no danger of missing the team's London showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs. Johnson is dealing with an ankle injury, but his absence is believed to be attributed more to routine maintenance than anything else.
Johnson said, via Detroit Free-Press:
“It’ll be cool,” Johnson said. “I’m looking forward to it. To be able to get out here and play in London -- last year, I was down -- but it’ll be a great experience.”
Fantasy impact: The only concern regarding Johnson’s status on Sunday is whether to pen him in as just a WR1 or a top-five option for Week 8. The Chiefs’ defense has become a shell of itself in 2015, allowing the most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers, something Johnson could exploit for plenty of yards and red-zone chances on Sunday.
There are many iffy matchups for Week 8 that fantasy owners need to put under a magnifying glass, but Johnson’s isn’t one of them. He can be started with confidence.
