The New England Patriots are a team that can change its identity each week, whether it's power-run heavy with LeGarrette Blount, or whether they attempt passes on 80 percent of their plays like they did against the New York Jets in Week 7.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 8: Danny Amendola
The Patriots opened up their passing game in Week 7 and Danny Amendola reaped the benefits. We break down the fantasy implications.

Danny Amendola, of course, benefits from the latter game plan. The shifty receiver caught eight passes for 86 yards and a touchdown as Tom Brady dinked and dunked instead of establishing a running game against a stout Jets front line. Amendola also trailed only Julian Edelman in snaps among the wideouts, besting Brandon LaFell 57-48 as LaFell struggled with drops in his first game of the season.
Fantasy impact: Amendola's usage is encouraging, but given the Patriots ability to drastically change their game plan each week, it can't be counted on. With LaFell continuing to get his feet wet after a long absence, and with Edelman and Rob Gronkowski established as Brady's primary targets, fantasy owners would be advised to look elsewhere than Amendola, who will also be competing with LaFell and Dion Lewis in the passing game.
Amendola has proven capable when given the chance to be featured, but his value is dashed from there simply being too many mouths to feed in that offense. He would be best relegated to benches in leagues with 10 and 12 teams.
