Calvin Johnson returns to practice Thursday, remains top-5 fantasy WR for Sunday
The Lions’ No. 1 receiver returned to practice in preparation for what could be a big outing in London. We break down the fantasy implications.
Johnson’s availability for Sunday was never believed to be in question despite missing Wednesday’s practice with an ankle injury. In a Wednesday report by Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, Johnson spoke as if he would be taking the field, citing the great experience it would be playing for a London crowd.
Fantasy impact: Fantasy owners won't have to do any second guessing when penning Megatron into their lineups for Sunday's earliest game, as the star receiver remains on track to suit up in a dream matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs' secondary has allowed the most points to opposing wide receivers in 2015, and now that Johnson is finally free from the shackles of ex-offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi, he could be in for a huge outing.
Johnson is a no-brainer WR1 for Week 8, and has top-five potential in Sunday’s matchup across the pond. Fantasy owners can start him with confidence.
