Dion Lewis will play tonight despite abdominal injury, fantasy value kicks up a notch
New England Patriots running back Dion Lewis will be in the lineup when his team takes on the Miami Dolphins on ‘Thursday Night Football.’ We break down the fantasy implications.
Fantasy impact: As the Patriots seem to do on a regular basis, coach Bill Belichick finds a way to get the best out of players that few people know about. Lewis came into the season a relative unknown and earned his spot in training camp. He’s also earned himself the right to be rostered by fantasy owners around the NFL.
He was incredibly effective with teammate LeGarrette Blount serving a suspension to start the year. Now it’s obvious that coach Belichick is cool using the strengths of both backs to move the football down the field. Lewis does it on passing downs, while Blount gashes through defensive lines the more traditional way.
Fantasy owners need to get Lewis in the lineup for tonight’s game. He’s a not-so-secret weapon in a Tom Brady-led offense that can’t be stopped.
