Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Leonard Hankerson did not practice Thursday, according to ESPN's Vaughn McClure.
Leonard Hankerson sits Thursday practice, fantasy stock falling
Leonard Hankerson injured his hamstring in Week 7 and is not yet on track for playing in Week 8. We break down the fantasy implications.
Hankerson left Week 7's matchup with the Tennessee Titans due to a hamstring injury and hasn't practiced since. Given the ambiguous recovery time for hamstring injuries, Hankerson's return isn't likely for Sunday, and the former Washington receiver could miss multiple weeks. Rookie Justin Hardy is expected to be the Falcons' No. 3 receiver in the event Hankerson sits.
Fantasy impact: Hankerson was a popular waiver add before Week 5 after supplanting Roddy White on the depth chart and cashing in with six catches for 103 yards and a touchdown against the Houston Texans. Since then, he's caught five passes for 50 yards in three games.
It’s difficult to say if Hankerson will reclaim starting duties when he returns, but much of that hinges on White’s effectiveness and if Hardy performs well in his first action of the season. Hardy isn’t an advised start, but White will present fair flex value in a plus matchup for Week 8.
