Green Bay Packers wide receiver Ty Montgomery missed practice on Thursday as he still has not recovered from an ankle injury he suffered back in Week 6, according to beat writer Weston Hodkiewicz. Montgomery has just 15 catches for 136 yards and two touchdowns in six games this season.
Ty Montgomery misses practice on Thursday, fantasy value very low for the near and distant future
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Ty Montgomery did not practice on Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Coming into training camp, the Packers were fully aware of the talent and ability that Montgomery possesses. He had a shot at being the team’s No. 3 receiver and earning some extra touches in the return game.
Things changed when the team signed veteran wide receiver and former Packer James Jones. Jones came into the fold late in the preseason, and when Davante Adams went down with a multi-week injury it was Jones and not Montgomery who found himself as the team’s No. 2.
Following the team’s bye week, it looks like Adams is ready to come back into the lineup and Jones isn’t going anywhere. It doesn’t seem like Montgomery will play this week against the Denver Broncos anyway, but even if he does his fantasy value is limited. Owners should look elsewhere if they want a midseason diamond in the rough.
