San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Anquan Boldin is not practicing Friday, according to NinersNation.com.
Anquan Boldin held out of Friday’s practice, shaping up to be game-time call for fantasy owners
The 49ers could be without their top wideout on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Boldin has been battling a hamstring injury since Week 6, although he was able to tough it out on a short week against the Seattle Seahawks. However, according to head coach Jim Tomsula, Boldin's hamstring tightened up during Thursday's practice. As a result, Boldin should be considered a game-time decision for Sunday's bout with the St. Louis Rams.
Fantasy impact: Even with an important divisional matchup looming, Boldin's chances of taking the field have now been cut significantly thanks to this mid-week injury report. DeSean Jackson, Alshon Jeffery and Odell Beckham Jr. have all dealt with nagging hamstring injuries of varying degrees throughout the season, making it difficult to project if Boldin will miss time.
For now, fantasy owners would be wise to have a backup plan in queue for the veteran receiver, despite how tough Boldin has proven himself to be.
