Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan expressed concern over the summer when newly acquired running back LeSean McCoy dealt with a hamstring issue. While that injury will likely keep McCoy out of action for Week 4, Ryan can take solace in knowing he doesn't have to be as worried as he may have been at the start of the season.
Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 4: Karlos Williams
With LeSean McCoy likely out on Sunday, the Bills will hand the ball off to Karlos Williams. We break down the fantasy implications.
The reason for this is because he has rookie Karlos Williams waiting in the wings. A decisive, physical running back, Williams has shown capability when given the chance to tote the rock. McCoy did not look like himself in Week 3's 41-14 victory over Miami, which paved the way for an extended look at Williams. The rookie responded by tallying 110 yards on 12 carries.
Fantasy Spin: Against the New York Giants defense, Williams has a chance to bust loose while carrying the lion's share of the backfield duties, despite the Giants defense holding its own vs. a powerful Washington rushing attack in Week 3. Sammy Watkins is also less than 100 percent, which could force the Bills to pivot more toward a running attack.
Because of his opportunity, capability and matchup, Williams can be put in the low-end RB1 conversation despite coming fresh off of the waiver wire. Fantasy owners can start him with confidence as long as McCoy is held out on Sunday.
