Washington wide receiver DeSean Jackson has missed all but the first quarter of his team's opening game with a hamstring injury, but progress is being made to return to the field.
DeSean Jackson does individual drills Wednesday, fantasy status unclear for Sunday
Washington could be getting their deep threat back in action soon. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jackson participated in individual drills Wednesday, according to ESPN’s John Keim, and will likely be listed as “limited” on the practice report. Jackson did not wear pads, but it is the most practice he has seen since suffering his Week 1 injury. Keim added that Jackson did not push himself since it was early in the week. The next step for Jackson is participating in team drills.
Fantasy impact: They're baby steps, but steps in the right direction if Jackson is to see the field on Sunday against a rejuvenated Atlanta Falcons team. It's still a bit early for fantasy owners to conclude if Jackson worthy of a spot in their lineups given the uncertainty surrounding his injury, but there's more reason for optimism this week than in previous ones.
If Jackson starts and is unlimited on Sunday, he can be considered a high-upside WR3 with Jordan Reed going through the concussion protocol. But at this phase of the week, all fantasy owners can do is closely monitor practice reports.
