Atlanta Falcons running back Tevin Coleman returned to practice on Wednesday, per ESPN's Vaughn McClure.
Tevin Coleman resumes practice, but is a mere handcuff in fantasy leagues
Coleman began the season as the Falcons starting tailback, but after a two-game absence, things have changed. We break down the fantasy implications.

Coleman exited Week 2's contest vs. the New York Giants after suffering broken ribs. Though the injury isn't expected to be fully healed at this time, it was previously reported that after a 1-to-2 week threshold, getting Coleman back into the lineup would depend on pain management, not fear of re-injury. Being able to practice so early in the week bodes well for his availability on Sunday, but it is not a guarantee.
Fantasy impact: Coleman owners can be happy about this news, but his short-term fantasy prospects were doomed the second Devonta Freeman exploded for six touchdowns over two weeks in his absence. Freeman's done nothing to warrant any reason to decrease his workload, as the second-year back totaled more than 140 yards in each of the games Coleman's missed.
Even vs. a Washington defense that has been elite against the run, Freeman is squarely in RB1 territory. Coleman is a handcuff until further notice and can be safely stashed.
