Baltimore Ravens tight end Crockett Gillmore sat out Thursday's practice, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley.
Crockett Gillmore misses 5th straight practice, fantasy hopes slim for Sunday
The Ravens offense could go from bad to worse if Crockett Gillmore sits out Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
It's the second practice of the week Gillmore has missed, and it's now five in a row he has sat out since exiting Week 3's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. It was expected for him to miss Week 4's Thursday night matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but it would raise eyebrows if Gillmore couldn't take the field on Sunday after 10 days of rest from a calf injury.
Fantasy impact: The lack of pass catchers on the Ravens has been complained about ad nauseam, even before Steve Smith went down with a rib injury. Gillmore would be in a prime position to capitalize if he takes the field, but chances of that grow slimmer each day he misses.
Gillmore would be a TE1 if he plays on Sunday, but fantasy owners have no reason to feel encouraged. He remains a hold in leagues of all formats, and Maxx Williams would be a starter only in the deepest of leagues if Gillmore sits his second straight game.
